ICON is a proud member of the US National Organisation for Rare Disorders (NORD) and EURORDIS, and over the past five years, we have conducted more than 730 rare disease studies. Rare Disease Day was launched by the European Organisation for Rare Diseases (EURORDIS) and its Council of National Alliances in 2008, and since then, we have made great strides toward the development of therapies for rare diseases. Every year, the Rare Disease community comes together on the last day of February to raise awareness of rare diseases that affect more than 300 million people worldwide.
